PRESENT YOUR WORK AT PREMUS 2019


The Organizing Committee of PREMUS 2019 invites abstract submission for oral and poster presentations.
Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through this web page.
Faxed or emailed abstracts will not be considered.


It is the Author’s responsibility to submit a correctly edited and accurate abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author. Abstracts will be rejected if they contain no data or if the English is unacceptable. After acceptance Presenting Authors will receive detailed Presentation Guidelines.


The general purpose of the PREMUS 2019 Conference is to promote discussion on evidence based prevention and management of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, valid methods of risk assessment, health surveillance and clinical practice guidelines.
We would like to invite Colleagues to submit Abstracts that will cover one or several of the following Themes.
The list of Themes is not exhaustive but is a guide and highlights a number of priority areas.

Deadline for submission


The deadline for submission of abstracts proposals is 24th March 2019.
No changes can be made to the submitted proposal after the submission deadline.
Proposals submitted later than the submission deadline will not be considered.

GENERAL RULES TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT


  • Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentation.
  • The Scientific Committee will determine whether abstracts will be accepted as oral or poster presentations with consideration given to the Author's preference.
  • Presenting Authors must be registered to the Conference and are requested to pay their registration fees within the due date to be included in the Scientific Program.
  • Abstracts must be written and presented in English.
  • Abstracts must contain original data and meet international ethical standard.
  • If an abstract contains material that has been previously published or presented, that information must be disclosed.
  • Abstracts that include findings that are significant and have applied appropriate statistical and analytical methods will be considered.
  • Abstracts stating, “data will be discussed in the presentation”, will NOT be accepted.
  • A maximum of 300 words is allowed for the abstract text.
  • The abstract title must be in sentence case with no full stop at the end and no underlining (maximum of 30 words)
  • Figures, Tables and graphs should not be included in the abstract.
  • References (maximum of 2) can be included in the body of the text.
  • The abstract title, name of Author(s) or Institution(s) are not to be included in the text.
  • Standard abbreviations may be employed in the text. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full wording at the first time the full wording appears in the body of the text.
  • Drugs/Compounds/Medical or laboratory equipment should be mentioned with the generic name, in lower cases. Commercial names are admitted in the text, with an ®, and if in brackets following the generic name, i.e. “generic (Commercial ®)”.
  • Abstracts must be allocated to a specific ‘’Theme’’ in order to be assigned to the proper Session in the Scientific Program.
  • Please, select the category most suited to your abstract.

Mandatory information to be included in the online form


  • Name and affiliation of all Authors
  • Name, affiliation, e-mail, postal address, phone number of the Presenting Author:  this information will be automatically entered by filling out the appropriate online form and must not be reported in the body abstract text - please note that no changes can be made once the above operations have been completed and the Abstract has been submitted
  • Abstract title
  • Selected main Theme (see table + “other”)
  • Selected main Sub-Theme (see table + “other”)

ORGANIZATION OF THE ABSTRACT


We kindly ask you to subtitle the paragraphs in bold format in the following order:

  • Background: a statement of the purpose of the study (preferably one sentence).
  • Methods: a brief statement of the methods used. For abstract reporting clinical research a sentence or phrase presenting the most important selection criteria for subjects should be included.
  • Results: a summary of the results presented in sufficient detail with statistical analysis to support the conclusions.
  • Conclusions: a statement of the conclusions reached. It is not satisfactory to state, “the results will be discussed”, or “the data will be presented”.
  • We recommend using word-processing software (for example, Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words. Typing your text directly into the field is not recommended.
  • Affiliation(s) should include department, institute, town and country. Where there are multiple affiliations, each should be listed as a separate paragraph. Each institute should appear in the order used against the author names and show the appropriate superscript number, e.g.:
    • 1 Department, University, Town, State
    • 2 University, Town, State
    • 3 Company, Town, State

CONSENT TO PUBLISH


Should your abstract contain identifiable information about patients, we ask all consent is received before submitting your abstract. Please check the box if you have received consent to publish or if you do not need consent to publish.

SUBMISSION CONFIRMATION and ACCEPTANCE


The abstract submitter will be notified about the correct upload of the paper by e-mail;

In case you do not receive any upload confirmation within 24 hours, please check first your spam folder and then contact the Organising Secretariat at the following e-mail address: secretariat@premus2019.com

  • Abstract will be reviewed and evaluated by the Scientific Committee.
  • The Scientific Committee will determine the presentation format for each abstract.
  • The Organising Secretariat will notify to the Presenting Author by e-mail the acceptance or rejection of the proposal.
  • The Organising Secretariat will send all the information and guideline for both Poster and Oral Communication to Presenting Authors.

Presenting Authors whose abstracts are selected and included in the Scientific Program will be required to register for the Conference paying the registration fee within the due date published on www.premus2019.com, attending the Conference and presenting the abstract in first person.

Presenting authors are responsible for arranging and paying for their own registration, travel and hotel arrangements. Affordable accommodation options are available at: www.premus2019.com
